I believe that the relationship between the director and production should be antagonistic because their goals are inherently antagonistic.
This is reductive, but ultimately directors want things that cost money and producers want to minimize costs.

jk I do have thoughts on AI art that are still taking form. But in the meantime, please allow me to offer some more optimistic takes on how AI can improve an artist's creative process:
"Form follows function" is a famous idea that makes us think of buildings with little or no ornamentation.
But Louis Sullivan, the man who came up with the phrase in 1896, designed buildings like the one below.
So what does "form follows function" actually mean?
