@Charles27188576 Trying to do this off my phone stinks so I bookmarked that to check tomorrow. I see next season as the real obstacle here because Skinner goes up to $6.4M
But if they can do it and get through that, they’re looking good.
Now if they can move on from Greenway’s contract 👀
If they sign Byram, Tuch is gone.
That’s been my mindset, zero clue if that’s the right mentality, but that’s what I’m going with for now.
Byram is hot and cold, but he does seem to be a non-lettered leader of the Sabres.
@Charles27188576 Im going to dive into this a bit more once I’m home tomorrow evening to see how it all could shake out.
I don’t think it’d be feasible (clearly, no breaking news there), but you may be right.
Also I’m not sure if there’s a set increase established yet for 2027-28
This is important to remember with the staff likely staying- it’s my understanding Appert has a lot to do with the way the Sabres use their D offensively. That’s a crucial part of the Sabres success as frustrating as some of the PP issues have been.
Alright I’m getting sappy for a minute then back to manly man things.
Walt is such an awesome guy and I’m beyond lucky to be able to be talk Sabres with him.
He cares so much about Buffalo and the people that live here. I’m blessed to call him a friend.
I’d like to thank everyone who has followed along with my content this season
Being able to talk about this team and have people watch/listen/read my stuff is a childhood dream come true. As an adult, you take that stuff for granted sometimes
What a fun season with more ahead

In fairness, GMs have lots of opportunities for roster moves in the playoffs, so finding 15 seconds to do the right thing like everyone else is going to be next to impossible.
Dude in my section at the Sabres game threw his phone and wallet on the ice in the 3rd period. I’ve been to a lot of sporting events. Never seen that in my life.
Huge thanks to you all for following and interacting this year.
This summer will be 10 years since the start of TCB and the last six months have been the most fun by a long shot.
We’ve created content & built the brand through some dark and monotonous times, and you all are what have made it so fun regardless. You sickos. For real - it’s special to have a community that’s been around the whole way. That’s what makes this fan base great, and to get to do this now with a fun team is so rewarding.
We’re just laying the groundwork for the start of something special. Can’t wait for what the future holds.
@Bulldogs_96 That’s totally fair, I was solely going at it from a Sabres perspective. For Benson, yeah bridge deal would probably be best for him financially.
Really depends on his priorities, but I can’t imagine he’s thinking of elsewhere right now.
@EmptyNettersPod I understand what you’re getting at cap wise, but man he was so good in the playoffs, it’s just a tough time to make this argument. Some Sabres fans want him gone but a majority realizes how good he is.
IMO if a top-4 D goes, it’s Byram since he’s a UFA after next season.
@Ade780 Didn’t like Krueger as a coach but met him and I saw why people like him
He was very engaging to a couple kids that went up to him, even picked them up and held them and his dad hopped in next to him and I took a picture for em
I think about how their family must love that photo
Jiri Kulich had a procedure to remove a blood clot at the Mayo Clinic a couple months ago, and indicated that he will be able to continue his hockey career. #Sabres
