Happy Pride from the Cincinnati Emergency Communications Center! Remember to stay hydrated and weather aware if you are outside in the heat and sun 🌈☀️
Not only does our Cincy911 team answer your emergency calls, but they also make sure first responders in the field are safe. 911 Dispatcher Maranda exemplified just that when she initiated additional police assistance when she could not make contact with a @CincyPD officer.
August 17th, 1988, was the first day Cincinnatians could dial 9-1-1 in an emergency. To learn more about calling 911 and the history of 911 and public safety in Cincinnati: https://t.co/TJtGgJasx3
@winemedineme@JamesBonsall@cghuelsman@311Cincy Communication if a pickup is delayed is still an issue; we @311Cincy don't always have visibility to that info either, and it's needed. Wish I had a better answer on that now, but just wanted to let you know we're pushing for improvements on it.
@cghuelsman@311Cincy Hi @cghuelsman -Frustrations heard loud and clear, and we at @311Cincy are working on addressing internally. Inspector gave bad guidance. I'm frustrated, too. Your engagement and drive to get things reported and fixed is appreciated. Feel free to DM if you'd like my contact info.
🔊911 leaders, we're #hiring! In the last two years, we've expanded to include 311, converted to a fully protocol-based 911 call-taking system, launched an alternative response program, created a dedicated QA team, and more. Come help propel @Cincy911 ECC even further!
We're looking for 911 center supervisors interested in advancing to a management role within a progressive, metropolitan PSAP. Help support a protocol-based center focused on continuous improvement as an Emergency Communications Assistant Manager. Apply: https://t.co/kwqJEh4NW5
Meet one of our 911 Dispatchers, Anna! Anna recently helped a caller give CPR instructions to her family for her younger brother, who was not breathing. Because of Anna's ability to calmly deliver CPR instructions, the family was able to provide care before paramedics arrived.
This week a group of @Cincy911 and @CincyFireEMS are training to become Communications Training Officers. Once they receive their CTO certification, they will help supervise and train 911 call takers.
@nthony_i@becca_costello@311Cincy Getting all of this feedback over to the team that is working on a future version of the @311Cincy app - thank you. Can you elaborate on the map user interface trouble?
@becca_costello@311Cincy Glad calling went well! I’ll check in with the app team and see if that UI can be improved. The existing Fix It Cincy app was simply rebranded for 311Cincy but there are app improvements ahead.
Good morning from City Hall.
Council's Public Safety & Governance Committee is starting now. First on the agenda: a presentation with an update on the pilot program Alternative Response to Crisis.
Background: https://t.co/BK8c0TBJeq
The ARC pilot has been extended and is going well, connecting people to services rather than sending police for crises that are not a law enforcement issue. This is freeing up our police officers to respond where they are needed elsewhere.

We've launched a new #CincyInsights dashboard to track the progress of the new @Cincy911 Alternative Response to Crisis (ARC) team! Check it out the responses by neighborhood, time of day, call type, and more at https://t.co/h7Tj6Np9Vi
A Cincinnati agency says large investors are taking some of the most affordable homes off the market, exacerbating the racial wealth gap. Now it's helping its new tenants buy the homes themselves. https://t.co/exsuvQRdTK
