@chilltulpa I didnt participate. Like I said, it felt disrespectful to everyone involved. Im sure they were fun events, and everyone has their own reasons for participating, but its not a serious way to sell or treat art.

@justintrimble I'd day it was a combo of marketing, market manipulation and right place/right time. Kind of like fidenzas. In no other market or time/place would either of them seen the success they have enjoyed.
@mikethree As someone in and around the art world for 20 years the only works I've seen faked often are things like kaws toys. Plenty of reasons for the art world to utilize nfts and authenticity is certainly a big one, but serious forgeries are exceedingly rare in the major venues.
