It’s called summer part time jobs.
It’s actually hilarious watching this guy trying to take credit for things like the Stampede in Calgary existing.
He’s not going to publish the headlines at the end of the summer showing all of the jobs falling off.
@Statutoryape902 Well, yeah not voting for someone because of somebody on their team is a valid decision. Especially when that someone is in a position as important as campaign manager.
I was in the backcountry for a few days and came back to some commentary about my leadership campaign.
Here’s my response, not as a “liberal lobbyist from out east,” but as a born-and-raised British Columbian and lifelong federal Conservative voter.
As someone who cast my ballot for Pierre for party leader, who voted for him again in the last general election, who publicly endorsed him ahead of his leadership review, and who has never had any reason to wish him anything but the greatest success:
Let’s set aside the apparent personal disputes, bring people together and win, because Conservatives fighting with each other only helps our adversaries and fails Canadians.
Let’s focus on the massive challenges facing everyday citizens and propose a path forward that they can get excited about - a path that’s only possible if Conservatives unite and form government.
Let’s be proud of what we stand for as Conservatives, constructive about our nation’s very real difficulties, and welcome those who share our interest in empowering Canadians to live up to their enormous potential.
There’s simply too much at stake to do otherwise.
Why are half the posts I see still about Poilievre's comment on Kory Teneycke and KLFs win? This is just straight up a non issue but everyone is blowing it up so much.
One of the largest private sector investments in Canadian history is coming home to Alberta.
@Meta has chosen Alberta for its first Canadian AI data centre, a historic $13 billion investment that will create thousands of jobs, strengthen our economy, and help position our province as a global leader in artificial intelligence and technology.
This project will support 3,000 construction jobs, 300 permanent positions, generate an estimated $250 million in annual benefits for Albertans, and invest $60 million into local roads, water, and community infrastructure.
Meta is fully funding new generation and grid infrastructure to support the data centre, which will improve reliability across the entire Alberta grid benefiting electricity customers across the province by reducing transmission costs by up to six per cent on Albertans’ utility bills.
We are proud to welcome Meta to and thank them for their confidence in our province, our economy, and most importantly, our people. Alberta has the energy, talent, and ambition to power the next generation of innovation.
Fact check time.
Older data centres required massive amounts of water and took large amounts of electricity from the grid. What Alberta is building is the complete opposite.
@meta's Sturgeon Data Centre will use a closed-loop, liquid-cooled system with dry cooling that requires no operational water use for cooling. In fact, it will use less water than an average Alberta golf course.
The data centre campus will be developed under Alberta’s “bring your own power” approach. Rather than relying solely on Alberta’s electricity grid, the project will combine grid-connected electricity with generation from a new $4.6 billion private-sector funded on-site natural gas power plant, helping protect grid reliability. This will benefit electricity customers across the province by reducing transmission costs by up to six per cent on Albertans’ utility bills.
@EricDLombardi Would a basic income or NIT pilot be there with existing welfare programs or would it act as a substitute for them if you were to do that?
Millions of Canadians can't afford food or pay their mortgage. Focus, "the war is out there".
To be clear, @PierrePoilievre will lead the Conservatives into the next election. He has an overwhelming mandate to do so, it's done.
Let's defeat @MarkCarney to bring Canada back.❤️🇨🇦
I keep seeing nothing but people complaining about this clip.
It's not that deep.
He said it. Maybe he shouldn't have or maybe it's good he did. But it doesn't actually matter
