@Olesya_elegant If a bank holds XRP, international Basel III rules call it a "high risk digital asset" and imposed capital pentalties on banks for holding it. Banks CANNOT keep XRP on balance sheet. Maybe..maybe they'll use custodians. For now RLUSD is doing all the heavy lifting instead
@AvonandsomerRob I just came back from the Philippines for a dive trip. Kids making $2 a day there. They couldn't fathom how $15 at McDonalds for lunch could be worth it. I can't fathom how inner city black kids on welfare will scrimp and steal for $300 Jordans. It's all about perspective.
@ProfessorJiang_ Hold on, prof. Bitcoin hit $57k and change in July. Today, it's up 35%. XRP is up 41%. That doesn't feel like a flight. It feels like speculator getting bullish. And hard assets? My California real estate is languishing.
@XRPJanet1 More basic, 3rd grade math. At $4500 per ounce, the market cap of gold's 300,000 metric tons of recoverable supply would be $45 trillion. You are also literally saying that one shiny yellow metal is worth almost half every economy on earth combined.๐
@BitcoinTeacher_ The dollar is collapsing. Costs are skyrocketing. Homes aren't aren't an 'investment'. They're a headache. But at leaset they keep up with inflation. Renting doesn't do that. At least a fixed mortgage payment doesn't keep increasing. Just buy in a low property tax spot
@Olesya_elegant To use XRP, Basel III rules require banks to tie up$1 in capital reserve for every $1 in XRP they use. Banks don't have this concern with RLUSD, seen by treasury as a risk limited asset as opposed to high risk crypto, requiring massive reserve holdings. It can't happen.
@B_arri_C Unforch, it isn't XRP thats becoming integral. It's RLUSD. super fast so that only millions are needed to move trillions of $$. Fluxuation free, dollar tethered, no problem with forex. Banks, sovereigns, institutions. ๐ To RLUSD, ๐ to XRP. And I'm a holder. Be realisticโน๏ธ
@r_wallstreet_@grok@TheFlashtweetzz@grok if D were to peg you, would an SD card or micro SD be more comfortable? Or do you prefer the BBC is the tech world, the floppy disk?
@TheCryptoSquire XRP? is that the token ripple used to fund the ripple ledger that runs perfectly on RLUSD? RLUSD loved by banks, with no loss to price fluxuation? With velocity to handle trillions of dollars in settlements?
@Julia_Liberte The velocity of the ripple ledger is making XRP obsolete. A trillion $ in daily transactions doesn't require a trillion $ in XRP value. All that's needed is RLUSD for any 3-5 second window. And that already exists. RLUSD. Beauty in its lack of value fluxuation.
@Nicole_77iba I hold more xrp than I can afford to lose. RLUSD has replaced XRP's functionality on the ledger. Banks love it. Sovereigns too. No fluxuation. And XRPL is so quick, a little is needed to move trillions. XRP has been largely replaced. Prayers for the coin I've held so longm
@B_arri_C What RLUSD is proving is that with the speed of the ripple ledger, a small amount of the stablecoin can move a large amount of currency. So the need for massive amounts of it, or highly priced XRP have been proven moot
@5149jamesli Actually in July 2025 for Trump's visit there, the students painted "No Trump, No Rapists, Shame on you". It was removed, and when students repainted, the fence was, for the 1st time in 100 years, declared off limits to students. Gotta love that freedom of speech
