My least favorite thing about social media is those who deploy, “I’m not an expert” after having posted the most polarizing, weighted, biased statements or analysis with spectacularly passionate, righteous conviction. As if “I’m not an expert,” somehow indemnifies them retroactively from potentially spreading damaging, incorrect or (God forbid)…incorrect toxic information. I guess who has time to fact check when it’s easier to just set a digital forest on fire.

Will be interesting to see what AI does to the business of law. Overbilling will continue as long as firms can get away with it, in part because they know much of their legal work will not only be replaced by AI and is significantly more efficient with AI, but in many respects (as models improve) a lot more reliable with AI. How long will consumers flip the bill for fancy reception areas and leather bound law libraries (that are all digitized anyway). Future lawyers better specialize and fast! One example of the future is @FlashJusticeAI which helps working people protect themselves in small claims court. It just started in #Texas but there will be more! #lawyers #legal #lawfirms #attorney

And you expect every provider and doctor to accept whatever rate is set by Medicare. Big hospitals don’t know their costs. They couldn’t do a BOM for any procedure. They have negligible transparency.

If they don’t know their costs, and you don’t know their costs, how is it possible for taxpayers, caregivers and patients to get a fair deal ?

And the concept of “every other country does it “ ignores the fact that they all converted decades and decades ago, long before you and your peers allowed the extreme vertical integration we face now.

Which leads to the question. @BernieSanders , why have you not advocated for the Break Up Big Medicine Bill ?
