Where do MPs get TSC's letters?

Who gave MPs the power to use TSC letters as a campaigning tool?

Aside from some TSC officials demanding BRIBES to the tune of KES 250,000 from graduates, it's become a playing field for corrupt politicians!

I have been wondering why a teacher who graduated in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 is either jobless or working as a JSS intern, but those who graduated in 2021, 2022, and 2023 are employed by TSC on a permanent and pensionable basis.

Kumbe MPs are dishing out TSC letters to their children, relatives, friends, and children of their friends.

This unacceptable! This is uncalled for!

Justice Byram Ongaya has delivered a progressive and pro-workers Judgement.

Firstly , TSC does not have a mandate to employ interns as teachers. Its mandate only extends to hiring qualified and registered teachers. However, it is the second finding that is;

(1) An employer cannot employ trained and registered teachers as interns to avoid the art 41 safeguards. Although there is freedom of contract, art 41 must come into play. Disguising employment to escape the effect of art 41 cannot pass the chains of social justice in Employment

(2)On discrimination: It is discriminatory to employ qualified and registered teachers as interns on a one year contract while other qualified and registered teachers are employed as teachers and on fixed contracts upon different terms and conditions.
