Do you know how concrete is made? Where the materials come from? How much power is needed to create cement? Each turbine requires a foundation of around 1000 tons of concrete. That's 45 to 55 - 32 ton trucks burning diesel for every turbine.
They also need between 40 to 60 tons of high strength steel again where do those materials come from? How much power is required to turn it into steel? And then to transport it to site? We haven't even thought about getting above ground yet but the list goes on and on. But you could tell me what part of a thousand ton block of solid concrete reinforced with rebar dug into the ground are you going to be able to recycle?
It's called a scam because the people pushing it never talk about the costs of building the infrastructure. It is only cheap once the infrastructure is installed, equally it is only cheap when the wind blows. What happens when it doesn't?
