It's not that the government has no money to subsidize university education. Far from it..

Now they keep asking what Uhuru was doing with our money.
Let me remind them that without burdening Kenyan workers with affordable housing levy, Uhuru FULLY completed 16,000 affordable housing units in 4 years.
Acccording to KNBS data, with the housing levy, Ruto has only FULLY completed 8,000 affordable housing units in 4 years. And guess what, part of the 8,000 units were already under construction when Uhuru left office.

Let me also remind them that in 10 years Uhuru borrowed a total of Ksh 6.8 trillion. In just four years, Ruto has already borrowed Ksh 4.3 trillion.

It is difficult to tell which one is worse, between employment letters being distributed only to regime-friendly MPs at State House, and those MPs subsequently selling them to wananchi.

But by saying this publicly, @HonWetangula has reminded the nation why @WilliamsRuto will never get the SOFTWARE of governance right.

Employment is now a factor of cronyism, favouritism and nepotism, all micromanaged by Ruto from State House.

What then is the work of state agencies like TSC, which are mandated to advertise and fill these vacancies?

You cannot manufacture an economic success story by cherry-picking two million people who supposedly found jobs while ignoring the millions whose livelihoods have deteriorated, whose businesses have collapsed, whose purchasing power has been eroded, or who are working in increasingly precarious and poorly paid conditions.

The question is not simply “How many people have jobs?” The question is: What kind of jobs are they, how much do they pay, and are Kenyans actually better off?

If employment numbers are rising while household budgets are being squeezed by punitive taxation, food prices, electricity costs, rent and debt, then waving employment statistics around without examining the quality of those jobs is economic propaganda, not serious analysis.

If people who had decent jobs before 2022 have since lost them, they are not statistical inconveniences to be excluded from the conversation.

You cannot claim economic transformation by counting the winners and deliberately ignoring the losers.

Kenyans don't eat employment statistics. They need decent jobs, rising incomes, affordable living costs and an economy that gives ordinary people greater economic security.

Stop cherry-picking data to manufacture prosperity. Kenyans know what is happening in their pockets.

Listening to excerpts from Ruto’s interview with the Nation Group, you will clearly see his problem with Uhuru and it’s not what he is telling us.

After the Genz demonstration, Ruto alishikisha Raila Hand Ball by co-opting him into his government.

Raila by joining Ruto’s government didn’t just give Ruto legitimacy, it also made Raila complicit in Ruto’s destruction of our nation.

This destroyed Raila’s reputation and credibility to an extent no other previous handshake did.

By the time Raila was being taken out, his standing among many Kenyans who had viewed him as the champion of human rights and good governance had been completely diminished.

During that same time and since then, Ruto has been desperately trying kushikisha Uhuru Handball. Son of Jomo have skillfully avoided this trap.

By refusing to be part of Ruto broad based government, Uhuru denied Ruto the chance ya kumpaka mavi ya Kenya kwanza mess that occurred over the last 4 years while Ruto was President.

This means Ruto can only criticize Uhuru for the failures of government that occurred before 2022, things Ruto was elected to fix.

With Raila dead and Uhuru having refused to be dragged into Broad Based Government, Ruto is forced to shoulder the burden of Broad Based Government failures alone.

Ladies and gentlemen, that is Ruto’s problem with Uhuru.

And as far as the 2027 election is concerned, it’s Ruto vs THE PEOPLE, not Uhuru no matter how hard Ruto’s handlers want to frame it that is Ruto Vs Uhuru.
