I've been quiet the last couple of months on what projects I am working on. I am excited to say, very soon, we will release v2.0 of our Ultimate & Premium Template along with a new Revit add-in to help users standardize their content faster and from one central window.
We've begun work on updating our Ultimate Template. This will be more than just aesthetic updates. We are revamping our code compliance workflows, integrating more products we have developed over the past few years, and new Dynamo scripts for easier customization and workflows
Just a reminder those who want to get 30% off our new detail item collection you two days left. Deal ends after July 31st. Use the code 30OFF at checkout. Link in the bio.

Another pain point firms encounter when adopting our products is customization. π Not everyone uses the same terminology. π This collection integrates Dynamo scripts that allow firms to easily update standards without the painful process of manually updating in Revit.β
One of the issues our upcoming Revit detail item collection address' is documentation. Customers can choose between keynoting or our custom detail item tagging documentation that preloads terminology while also supporting instance based context.
It's official, July 27th will be the release of our new Ultimate Detail Item Collection!
We are super excited by this Revit family collection because the OOTB detail items were always a pain point when we generated construction details.
Mark you calendars!
The other thing we noticed is family types are not sorted in the type catalog. Our guess is FP sorted them based on element id? It could be something that customers just deal with but it annoys us so that means its not getting shipped.
πLooks like we are FINALLY in the home stretch for the Ultimate Detail Item Collection. Looks to be about two more weeks before the collection is released!
New feature for the forthcoming detail item collection is the ability to update family parameters using an excel file and our dynamo script. It'll be an experiment to see if customers take to this process.
Top is the old version for one of our insulation detail item families. The bottom is our updated version. We simplified the rigging to speed up resolving geometry. The new family does feel noticeably snappier.
If you did not know, we posted a video discussing how to set up automated occupant load calculations in Revit. We see firms struggle with this workflow bottleneck and we want to let everyone know there is a better way. π

Occupant load calculations are an issue we see firms struggle with and we want everyone to know there is a better way than pulling out the pen and paper. https://t.co/BtGO7coX0R
For those of you who prefer to read processes, we wrote a blog post outlining each step for how we created a simple Revit Dynamo script that automates graphic updates in families. https://t.co/9ZgcPdklyS
We created another dev video outlining a simple Revit Dynamo script we implemented to speed up the creation process in our forthcoming Detail Item Collection. Check out our Youtube channel: https://t.co/rx5mYU5Sq9
