@Lisa9Sophia Chanel’s #fixourfeeds campaign is just a false pretence for silencing criticism of her misandrist ideology and so her rhetoric towards men go unchallenged. She doesn’t care about stopping sexism in general, she just wants control
@zoecabina Ever notice how during her lectures on rape culture in schools, she’s never brought up about male students being sexually abused by female teachers?
Guess they don’t fit the narrative
@GiaMMacool What you’ve said perfectly sums up my issue with this reel. Feminists claim they’re about womanhood yet they tear down young women for engaging in entertainment that appeals to them. As well as treating their own gender like a weakness. It’s really demoralising and manipulative.
I actually agree that Disney movies programmed little girls.
But NOT the way she’s describing it.
Disney taught girls that Prince Charming was supposed to save her.
In reality, a relationship requires both sides to take responsibility and women are supposed to protect and support their man just as much as he protects them.
It’s funny how feminists took that script and completely rewrote it so men are once again the only ones to blame 🤦🏻♀️
This woman is telling other women that the highest form of womanhood is rejecting everything feminine or desirable… for a man.
That idea is pure evil.
Feminism preaches:
• Beauty is “oppression.”
“Be beautiful… but never for a man.”
• Softness is “weakness.”
“Have a voice… but never let it serve anything bigger than yourself.”
• “Be independent… until you’re 40, used up, and wondering why no one stayed.”
That’s why feminists teach other women to treat masculinity like a disease.
And the girls who buy it the hardest are usually the ones who end up the most alone.
Masculinity is not just gentle, and rewriting it as such is also wrong in the framing of these anime.
Real masculinity is contained aggression with a tacit capability of violence, but focused and directed towards the good... competence, reliability under pressure, provision, emotional regulation, loyalty, etc.
When an emergency arises, a real man won't hesitate to employ lethal violence against a threat, and when it subsides is as gentle and soft as they can be...
The reality is that real male gentleness can't exist without the other side that could end the life of some threat. Gentleness without anything backing it is like a jellyfish without a spine.
Without that "rock" as the core, a man displaying kindness is meaningless. Nonviolence only works because there is a tacit threat that if the enemy tries to do something, it won't end well for them. But if the character is just gentle without that "power level," that threat is gone.
Himmel is that example, where his everyday gentleness is backed by his heroic level of actual battle prowess that he never shows. Same with Stark, Laios, or Qifrey... those gentle and nurturing traits sit on top of already demonstrated or implied capability.
And this is the normative state of the world and history as well. Nation states employ a tacit threat of violence to maintain peace, men's deep bonds are often stronger when they have fought alongside each other, and men are far more respected when they are the gentle warrior, capable of heroic deeds.
If men are only "compassionate, vulnerable, kind, and emotionally present"... the men around them reject them, and the women will never date them... because it turns out weak, "kind" men (the smiling villain) are the historical archetype that are the snake that backstabs, because they are often the ones with hidden ambition who want power without earning it.
The ones without any latent force? They are forgotten.
The reason they spend so much time talking about tolerance and empathy is they don't want you to know their entire worldview is based on resentment and hatred.
''how fantasy anime rewrites masculinity''
Masculinity has always been like this. Its the feminists who have been rewriting it for the past decades into something it literally never was. If anything ,the masculinity you find in anime is masculinity in its original untainted form
Masculinity has been pathologised so much even in entertainment to the point that male characters with caring and protective traits are labeled as outliers. It’s actually disgusting
