My gf works at tiktok (I've never actually publicly said this) and one piece of advice I can give without getting her into any kind of trouble is you should use the mobile app version as much as you possibly can when posting videos because the desktop app is not optimized as correctly as the mobile app is

Ever noticed sometimes you post via desktop and it flops heavily, then you repost on mobile and it hits? Even though it's the exact same video? It's not a coincidence and you aren't crazy

Desktop version was a forced project pushed out very quickly to compete with other sites that already had functioning mobile and desktop versions, it still functions perfectly fine in many cases, but at the same time it doesn't and can glitch from time to time causing you to think your content is actually bad or your account has a problem, but it can be as simple as the video just didn't get a chance to push organically due to the reasons I explained above

I hope this helps, take it with a pinch of salt because this can also be very circumstantial (type of web browser, wifi type etc)
