‘Restore Manipur’s pre-merger status’
Expressing anger against reimposition of AFSPA in areas under six police stations, different women civil society organisations demanded resignation of the state government and restoration of pre-merger status in Manipur.
Speaking to media on Friday at Nupi Samaj office AMKIL president Lourembam Nganbi said, AFSPA which was imposed in Manipur since 1980 was withdrawn from Greater Imphal area covering seven assembly segments in 2004.
