Cristiano Ronaldo is not going to score an open-play goal in this World Cup.
You can bookmark this tweet. That’s how confident I am that he won’t score an open-play goal.
Interview granted by the father of the 14 year-old boy who was killed yesterday in Ilobu, Osun State. He revealed that the thugs who came to kill the innocent boy arrived in an Osun State APC governorship campaign branded vehicle.
So sad that the APC, who denied this, are now being seen at the scene. God is always exposing them. They will probably be looking for another way to operate in this system.
We hope those who said they aren’t supporting violence can now speak up with this evidence.
JUST IN: Here is a video of how a 14-year old Ezekiel Olapade was killed in Ilobu yesterday. As this video clearly showed, the thug identified by the father of the victim is the one in blue short, shooting directly at people. That was an APC campaign vehicle which they possibly came with. Earlier today, I addressed a World Press Conference in my capacity as the Director-General of the Imole Campaign Council (TICC) on the disturbing rise in political violence in Osun State and the tragic killing of 14-year-old Ezekiel Olapade in Ilobu, Irepodun Local Government Area.
With deep sorrow, I condemned the gruesome murder of the innocent teenager and demanded the immediate arrest and prosecution of Saheed Kareem, popularly known as "Tanfeani," and every individual connected with this heinous crime, following the public identification of the gang leader by the police.
I warned that political violence is fast becoming a dangerous trend in Osun State, posing grave threats to peace, security, and democratic stability. I noted that the unfortunate incident in Ilobu is not isolated, but part of a disturbing pattern of violence that has claimed lives and endangered citizens in Ikire, Ilesa, Owode-Ede, Osogbo, and other parts of the state.
I called on the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu @TunjiDisu1, psc(+), NPM @PoliceNG and @PoliceNG_CRU, to order a comprehensive investigation into all incidents of political violence and ensure that perpetrators, sponsors, and collaborators are brought to justice irrespective of their political affiliations or social status.
I also expressed our lack of confidence in the leadership of the Osun State Police Command under Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Gottan, citing the recurring incidents of violence and the growing public perception of selective law enforcement. Consequently, I called for his immediate redeployment and a thorough investigation into the apparent operational failures under his watch.
Furthermore, I appealed to the National Human Rights Commission, civil society organisations, election observers, diplomatic missions, and the international community to closely monitor developments in Osun State before the situation degenerates further.
As supporters of His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, and members of the Accord family, we remain committed to peace, democracy, and the rule of law. However, peace can only endure where justice prevails and accountability is guaranteed.
Enough is enough. No society can prosper under the shadow of politically motivated killings. We demand justice for young Ezekiel Olapade and all victims of violence. Those responsible must be arrested and prosecuted, and every institution charged with protecting lives must rise to its constitutional duty.
The people of Osun State deserve peace, security, and a democracy free from fear and bloodshed.

Shakira’s performance today was nothing short of legendary. The aura, the moves, the vocals, she turned the opening ceremony into her own concert. Simply epic.
At my direction, following the visit of a high-level Federal Government delegation that I sent to the Esiele and Yawota communities in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, I have approved the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards in collaboration with the Oyo State Government.
