A slightly mad individual who’s trying to find her way in life...I was born left handed, minus my left hand, but that's never stopped me and it never will!
Absolutely disgusting! As a little kid, I used to think I’d have to marry someone with one arm - obviously not true & just my childhood insecurities but how dare a ‘professional’ service imply a disabled person can’t be considered to date nondisabled people. Shame on you #Ableism
I just received this email from a 'professional' dating service. I have been crying for an hour. When I spoke to them on the phone they said that my disability was fine, but when I clarified that I was a wheelchair user, this:
⭐️ Annual reviews of equipment offered via @NHSEngland & @NHSScotland (not every 4 years+).
⭐️Transparent and published technology adoption process.
⭐️Routine adoption of new and proven technologies (without the 10 year wait).
A 30-year-old myoelectric single- grip arm STILL offered by the #NHS vs 5-day-old multi-grip @openbionics#HeroArm STILL NOT offered by the NHS despite clinical trials & it being available to them.
The hero arm is so much more useful for everyday life. Plus it's super cool 🦾😁
This is so exciting & such a positive for 2021! As a child I hated my clinical visits but I can honestly say, that everything I have experienced through Open Bionics really has been the polar opposite. Onward & upwards 😍🦾

Four years of asking @NHSEngland for adoption @MattHancock. Over 2 years of this technology being available via private healthcare clinics. It’s easier to get a Hero Arm in the USA despite it being designed and made in England.
Lockdown in the UK is over - for now! I swam over 1 mile today, 20 still to go, Nemo's back! Let's start the momentum again, please keep sharing & donate if you can. Thanks... https://t.co/Gd4VmLI5dP
