DoT Gujarat LSA conducted a virtual review meeting with the BNUs of the UT of DNH&DD, along with BSNL, on 09.07.2026.

The meeting reviewed the progress and utilisation of the Amended BharatNet Project (ABP), discussed feedback and operational issues raised by BNUs, and emphasized the need to accelerate provisioning of rural FTTH connections. DoT encouraged BSNL and all stakeholders to work in close coordination for timely implementation and enhanced digital connectivity across rural DNH&DD.

400+ Lost/Stolen Mobile Phones Recovered & Returned!
The Crime Branch, Ahmedabad City successfully recovered 400+ mobile phones using the CEIR Portal of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and handed them over to their rightful owners today under the "Tera Tujhko Arpan" programme.

Strengthening disaster preparedness for Gujarat LSA! 📡

DoT Gujarat convened the 3rd STDCC meeting today for FY 2025-26 with all TSPs, GSDMA & NDRF to review the preparedness of telecom resilience against disasters.

In collaboration with the Gujarat Institute of Amateur Radio, a special session on 'HAM Radio for Disaster Management' was organized as an alternate communication channel when conventional networks fail.

समृद्ध ग्राम पंचायत परियोजना के अंतर्गत दूरसंचार विभाग (DoT), गुजरात LSA की टीम ने गांधीनगर जिले की चराड़ा ग्राम पंचायत, मेहसाणा जिले की कुकरवाडा ���वं कमाणा ग्राम पंचायत का दौरा किया। इस अवसर पर टीम ने स्थानीय निवासियों, शैक्षणिक संस्थाओ तथा प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र के प्रतिनिथियों से प्रतिनिधियों से संवाद किया। साथ ही ग्रामीणों को FTTH (फाइबर टू द होम) कनेक्शन के लाभों के बारे में जानकारी दी गई।

इसके अतिरिक्त, मोबाइल सुरक्षा को सुदृढ़ करने हेतु संचार साथी ऐप के महत्व पर जागरूकता फैलाई गई, जिससे नागरिक अपने मोबाइल कनेक्शन से संबंधित सुरक्षा और सेवाओं का बेहतर उपयोग कर सकें।

Sanchar Mitras from IIIT Surat conducted a #SancharSaathi promotion and Cybersecurity Awareness session. Citizens were sensitized on cyber fraud prevention, safe digital practices, and the importance of IMEI for tracking/blocking lost or stolen mobiles.

A review meeting chaired by Sh. Govind Kewlani, Special DGT, DoT Gujarat LSA, focused on fast-tracking BharatNet, Samridhh Gram Panchayat and 4G Saturation projects in Gujarat Circle. With participation from BSNL, GFGNL, CCA and SGP nodal officers, key decisions were taken to strengthen mobile and broadband connectivity in villages across Gujarat and UT of DNH&DD for citizens.
