Welcome to the official twitter of the Bird and Bat Boxes for Biodiversity project! The goal of this project is to increase the biodiversity of Nipmuc Regional High School’s surrounding ecosystem by providing bird houses and bat boxes for a variety of species.
This weekend, our team mounted eight birdhouses and three bat boxes in the Nipmuc forest! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us and helped us throughout the duration of this project!
Happy Bat Appreciation Day! Fun fact: Bat Appreciation Day was started by Bat Conservation International to raise awareness of the important roles bats play in ecosystems and to focus on protecting all of the different species of bats! To learn more, visit https://t.co/wW9QrG85mn
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some of the logistics of the Bird and Bat Boxes for Biodiversity project have changed. Despite these challenges, we are still determined to get our bird houses and bat boxes set up as soon as possible! We hope you all remain safe and healthy!
Congratulations to our raffle winner, Morgann! Thank you so much to everyone who supported us by buying raffle tickets. Also, we would like to thank @westonnurseries for generously donating the gift card that was raffled off!
