A litte variety at Climping this morning despite the cold conditions, with a smart male Redstart north of the golf course, a Short-eared Owl, 2 Red kite, a Slav Grebe off Poole Place, with a Sand Martin and a few Blackcap.

3 LRP on flooded fields, Black ditch area west of Ham Manor golf course, also 3 Red Kite, c200 Teal, 9 Gadwall, and a couple of Wigeon.

My first Wheatear of the year at Climping this morning, c400 Brent moving east and a good candidate for a Caspian Gull on beach.

Couple of scare records today for the patch with a Ringed N Parakeet in Bailiffscourt and a Greylag Goose west of the hotel grounds. c70 Yellowhammer still in the area around Ferry Rd and at least 8 Chiffchaff Longwood.

No Sabine's for me at Climping, with the long staying Pied & 2 Spot Fly still in insitu, and a Shag on the rocks at Atherington the best I could offer. @BirdGuides @SussexBirding

Good variety at Climping this morning with 3 Spoonbill east over the golf course & a vocal Nightingale by the 15th tee (RG) Supporting cast included Redstart, Spot Fly, 2 Garden Wblr, Lesser Whitethroat, 25 Yellow Wagtail and at least 10 Wheatear. @SussexBirding @BirdGuides

Local rarity in the form of a Nuthatch around Atherington cottages this morning, also a probable Grasshopper Warbler, Redstart, 2 Spot Fly & 9 Wheatear.

A little variety around the patch this morning with a Dartford Warbler, Whinchat, Corn Bunting, Wheatear, Yellowhammer, 3 Lesser Whitethroat, 4 Cetti's and the regular Warblers present in good numbers, and 2 Little-ringed Plover. @SussexBirding @BirdGuides
