A couple changes within baseball have led to an uptick of — how do I put this delicately — foul balls to catchers' nether regions.

When are we getting huge news for FOOTBALL FANS - where EA actually simulates the experience of playing QB (not seeing through the back of their heads, scanning defenses pre-snap, choosing a region of the field as their 1st read, and making progressions thereafter).
A groundbreaking Madden (where player Intelligence/Awareness would be king) would have the following:
1. Defenders disappear from the screen while the QB's back is turned from them.
2. QB's should not immediately see the entire defense/receivers across the field until after completing their first read.
2b. Imagine beginning each play by using the right stick to scan the field from left-to-right (and vice versa), where defenders appear/disappear from sight as the QB's eyes scan the field in preparation for the play.
2c. QB's like Brady/Manning would have cones of vision that are practically 2/3 of the field, whereas Kyler Murray would have 1/5 of the field.
2d. Wherever the cone of vision is left at the snap of the ball is where vision will immediately be available for the QB.
2e. After .5/1.0/1.5 seconds (DEPENDING ON AWARENESS RATING), the remaining players on the field (outside the initial vision cone) become visible.
3. User defenders should only see players on the field that are directly in their line of sight. If a player is running down field in-step with a receiver, they should have to press the Left Trigger to peek back at the ball/QB.
3b. Peeking back at the QB/ball would incur a slight speed penalty (reduced for PLAYERS WITH HIGH AWARENESS).
4. If an opponent is spamming the same glitchy/overpowered plays (more than 2-3 times per half), their offensive player stats should be drastically reduced - meanwhile the defender stats should be boosted.
4b. When selecting plays on offense, a warning would appear (perhaps the play art surrounded by a red/yellow box) indicating that selecting that play will result in a penalty to their team's stats (for that particular down).
5. A hot route mechanic be introduced that allows you to instruct any receiver to delay the start of their route by .5/1.0/1.5 seconds.
6. Merge the practice and game mode in Franchise. 6b. The practice begins with a bare-bones field and colorless uniforms.
6c. As plays are successfully executed:
* The gameday uniforms (preselected before gameday) begin to come to life.
* The stadium begins generating atop the once empty fields
* Fans begin filling the stands
* Once the desired amount of reps are completed, the player presses a command for the gameday to kick off.
**************************
So long as EA grants omnipotent vision to user QB's/Defenders (granting eyes in the back of their heads), Madden Football will never come close to capturing players that process the field quickly/efficiently.
If players realized that much of the field would be blind to them (LIKE REAL LIFE) unless they had a high-IQ quarterback/linebacker/DB, they would suddenly stop coveting physical traits alone (which are useless if they are oblivious to the game going on around them).

nintendo direct sucks. i’ll never get to see some sort of cel shaded anime character in distinguished regalia but also with a bit of an attitude unbecoming of royalty
