@andywaysworld @thestevenwoods NBA and NFL are different situations than MLB because of the salary caps. With no real cap in MLB, there's not much incentive for a guy to take a discounted contract, as opposed to NBA or NFL team payroll is limited.

@fuzzyfromyt So a 23yr old superstar who is under a reasonable contract for the next decade for a few prospects? Put the pipe down. It would take your 2 best players not named Judge (think Cole + 1) and your 3 best prospects. Look at what the Padres gave up for 2 yrs of Soto.
