If the outcome of trashing current agreements is better agreements/trade conditions, I'll give Trump all the credit in the world. But @georgeasy 's point is still valid. That TDS goes both ways. Ignoring that fact doesn't help.

@georgeasy @scoutmccomb @NateSilver538 Problem here, though, is that now the world knows that a US president can unilaterally kill a trade agreement because it's politically advantageous to them. Every trade deal from now onwards will have an asterisk beside it, because we can't be trusted to keep our agreements.
