@BishopsForum 2021 has drawn to a close. After a final workshop on mental health and self-awareness, it was time for the mock parliamentary commissions - the culmination of all the teams’ hard work, collaboration and research over the last few days.
Our evening ended with listening and learning, with journalist @Osmich and Elder Vicky Boldo as we reflected on the weight and import of words through stories and excerpts from @CBCMontreal@cbcpodcasts Telling Our Twisted Histories.
Our day began with journalist and author Lise Ravary, who offered insights on the implications of Bill 96 for Quebecers. Panelists from community groups @Y4YQuebec, CHSSN, @pert_qc, @QCGN and @YESMontreal shared what inspired them to become #communityadvocates 1/4
through lunch and into the afternoon before we heard from municipal candidates @BalaramaHolness, Lyssa Paquette and France Stohner about what piqued their interest in politics and why they decided to run for office to better their communities. 3/4
Inspiring youth - today’s leaders - to get involved in their communities through action and engagement at this morning’s @BishopsForum panel session w/ @Y4YQuebec, CHSSN, @YESMontreal, @pert_qc & @QCGN
