Again my rebooked flight was @11:20 a full 24 hrs after my original connecting flight tht I missed due to @SpiritAirlines “maintenance” and now here we are again wit another issue!
It’s now 11am and we have 12 hours until our flight with nowhere to stay. We’re out 900$, losing 2 days of our vacation and only offered 39$ in food vouchers for the airport. Thanks @spiritairlines#makeitmakesense
We get to the airport explain our situation and ask to speak with the manager Robert who we could see. After confronted suddenly he had a meeting and couldnt be disturbed @spiritairlines rep explained there was nothing that they could do and no changes to our flight could be made
With no accommodation at the hotel we slept in the lobby as that was our only option. We then decided to go back to the airport to see if we could again book a sooner flight with another airline as the @SpiritAirlines rep said we had to do. Back to the airport we go.🤦🏾♂️
At this point we’ve lost 2 days at our resort in Costa Rica and lost $200 for the driver we had arranged to pick us up at the Costa Rica airport. We explained this to the manager @spiritairlines and they were not sympathetic at all.
My 3rd time calling customer service the rep advised we had to go back to the airport bc only there can they book another flight through a different airline. But at the airport we were told they could not book any flights with a different airline other than @spiritairlines.
We paid for an Uber to the hotel only to find out no one from @spiritairlines even called the hotel to book us. There was no accommodation for us at the hotel. We called Spirit customer services and after explaining my situation to two different reps I was hung up on!
They offered a hotel voucher, which we brought to their attention that was fully booked. The manager Robert reassured us that our hotel was booked for us and that a shuttle bus would take us there. We got outside only to find out shuttle only starts at 6am and it was only 430am.
Finally someone was able to ‘assist’ us at the @spiritairlines desk. We ask to be booked for a 630am through another airline. This was not an option as they offered to only book for their next flight which was 11pm that night. Which was 20 hours from that time.
We landed in FLL and waited 2 hours for anyone to even assist us at @spiritairlines desk. We received an email with a hotel voucher for a hotel that was completely booked.
Had a flight leaving dtw going to San Jose Costa Rica with @SpiritAirlines. Flight was delayed 3hrs due to maintenance which caused a missed connection in FLL. Spirit members offered zero help at the gate & said all problems would be solved once we arrived in FLL which was a lie!
