After reading "Balloons over Broadway", I challenged some of the my 3rd graders to create their own Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Float. Di'Angelo Rollins, from Mrs. Depew's class, absolutely astounded all of us with his creativity! Great job, Di'Angelo!

Last week, the Bissell Library held a book drive for the Ampalagantsary School in Madagascar. Our Bissell Tigers were so excited to share their books with the students in Madgascar that they sent 14 boxes of books to help fill the library shelves of the newly built school!

What an amazing career day today at Bissell! Marc Sumerak, writer for Marvel and Star Wars, shared his journey with our students as well as several of his books and even a video game! He’s a great example that dreams really do come true if you work hard! @msumerak

Library at Bissell was out of this world this week! Exploring a Maker Space challenge designed by NASA, students created scale models to compare the size of the moon to earth.

Ms. Mitchell & Mr. Dianetti’s Grade 10 LA classes visit the THS Book Bistro aka Media Center for a “Book Tasting” hosted by “Chef” DiMatteo! Students will work a “latte” on research papers while “espresso” themselves using choice novels and online resources! #TCSDProud
