@devchart Iran should not have closed the Strait of Hormuz, as it is unlikely to benefit them. This has created more problems for Iran as well as for others. Iran has already dealt all its cards. Israel is no good, but Iran is pure demonic as well.

Israel will reportedly keep bombing from the air but won't send troops 1,000 miles into Iranian territory.

The logic is straightforward.

Israel doesn't have the logistics to sustain ground forces that far from home.

So the country that pressured the U.S. into this war, that struck South Pars without permission, that keeps bombing through peace talks, and whose intelligence helped justify the entire operation, won't be sending a single soldier if the mission gets dangerous enough to require ground troops.
