Massive rumors around Wintermute vs Binance after the October crash 🚨

People is now claiming that Wintermute, one of crypto’s largest market makers is preparing to sue Binance

Over unfair ADL executions during the October 10 crash that liquidated nearly $19–20B in positions.

Binance confirmed system overloads and massive ADL triggers

but denied any preferential treatment or internal errors.

Wintermute’s CEO, Evgeny Gaevoy, said they are “evaluating legal options.”

the biggest single day liquidation in crypto history

• Triggered by Trump’s announcement of 100% tariffs on Chinese imports.

• Binance’s APIs failed, Reduce-Only orders rejected (HTTP 503).

• ADL triggered automatic short liquidations up to 5x above market price.

• Binance spent $188M from its insurance fund and refunded $283M for oracle depegs (ADL not included).

Wintermute’s 10 tracked wallets across Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Solana show:
