As we are moving to a new stable state equilibrium, the question is who is the best situated of those great powers to best transition a period of intermediate chaos?
Or as @topheritall said, could it be a darkhorse? 🤔
Personally I lean towards one of the great powers or perhaps all of them at once as they negotiate what that new world looks like and who gets what. Since if you are a smaller state, you are most likely a 'vassal state' of one of those great powers
And secondly, you not only need to have the permission but also the goods, that is, the information (and the accompanying narrative plus the operational framework) to release to the public
Finally I think, if it's not one of the great powers, they might not even have the authority or respect to convince the general public. But then again that might not be the point, point might be just to be the first to update/upgrade your own population so as to take the lead
But yes, I have been arguing this point since me & @awaken_luck first started The Bigger Picture over two years ago now. Good times :)

Yeah, people are seriously over-focused on robots
I think Cyborgs and cybernetics, bio-enhancements, is much slept on. DARPA has been on this for a long time: CRISPR, mRNA, BMI, neuro-&-biotech, the whole shebang
👇
BMI (Brain-Machine Interface / Brain-Computer Interface) is core cybernetics. Direct bidirectional communication between neural tissue and machines is textbook cybernetic territory - closed-loop control, sensory feedback, motor intent decoding, etc. There’s a whole subfield sometimes called neuro-cybernetics or cybernetic frameworks for neural interfaces
CRISPR (gene editing) and mRNA technologies are biotechnology, not traditional cybernetics. But they modify the biological substrate itself - changing gene expression, engineering cells for better interface compatibility, enhancing tissue integration, reducing immune rejection of implants, or creating synthetic biological components
This makes them natural partners in contemporary “biotechnological cybernetics,” biohybrid systems, and human enhancement discussions. Researchers and writers already group CRISPR, neural interfaces, synthetic biology, and cybernetic control together under labels like biocybernetics or human-machine integration.
The future will get freaky indeed my friend, if we can live to see it, that is
I see the #Bitcoin doom and gloomers are out in full force today, once again declaring that $BTC is dead. Imagine actually saying that seriously and believing it. I think most are just talking their own book, whatever it happens to be, more so than actually believing bitcoin is dead. If it were true that it were dead then no one would be talking about it. Let that sink in...
