We are a group of Protestants in Northern Ireland who believe Ireland should be United inside the EU - We take our inspiration from the United Irishmen of 1798
In 1981 10 men starved themselves to death to raise awareness regarding the persecution of Catholics in Northern Ireland by our fellow Protestant Unionists
42 years later Protestant Unionists are burning the images and memorials of those same 10 men. Utterly sick and depraved ๐คฎ
@JP_Biz@BBCNolan@markdevenport 554,415 people in NI are โIrishโ only .. The Tricolour ๐ฎ๐ช should therefore light up civic buildings frequently
Fire crews were deployed to the Village bonfire on the Donegall Road in south Belfast last night after the pyre collapsed close to homes in the area. At the height of the incident more than five fire appliances attended, including an aerial platform.

One man killed, several homes destroyed.
There is a high price to turning a blind eye to unregulated bonfires.
Political & community leaders who refuse to support regulation must account for their cowardly stance & its consequences.
@CaptainFalke@chrisadonnelly I heard recently that the ludicrous bonfire on Hope Street in the Centre of Belfast will be lit this year for the last time !
The land is being sold off and developed, thank goodness.
Regarding fear of antagonising paramilitaries, thatโs what the army is for, get them in ๐
@JP_Biz@repnews@Moreincommon_ Loyalist men in their 20โs are less than 5% of the population.. They all believe these sorts of behaviours are effective because the system rewards it
Time to get tough, time to bring in the army and stamp this nonsense out
Jeffrey Donaldson was 17 when the Kincora Boys' Home sex abuse scandal erupted. He was close to two MPs linked to it: Enoch Powell and Jim Molyneaux. He has never spoken publicly about what he knows about the Kincora vice ring. Read about this and more๐
