@editingemily If it's a small car...okay, maybe it's some kinda complex. But a large car/truck--it's just physics. You can't cut your wheels hard if you don't back in. It's INFINITELY easier to move in a tight area.
@ZoCodes Back when I worked where there were no tests or QA, I’ve fixed buggy code for production outages. I’d rather do that again than do coding interviews.
@taylorotwell IF I were to try it, the "iPad at the side" arrangement would be the only way. After working from home for nearly 14 years, I don't want a reason to sit at my desk more. The "talk break" should be a reason to get up and move.
@hacks4pancakes@GoDaddy Two problems there…GoDaddy cheap hosting (you get what you pay for) and WP. I don’t hate WP, but it should remain a solid blogging platform and not be mangled into a bloated do-everything mess.
@taylorotwell My company uses Laravel for back office apps at one of the largest US school systems: 161K students at 194 schools, supported by 20K staff. https://t.co/gY0ytqOS77
Consider your dependency on devices and apps...then consider a weekend #digitalDetox. “There are only two industries that call their customers ‘users’: illegal drugs and software.” ~ Edward Tufte.
@EmmaBostian Lots of non-profit talk here but @EmmaBostian said "from company." Non-profit doesn't mean "no money," just rules on how money is used. They have budgets to spend on services and an average CEO salary in the US of $120K. Volunteering & generosity rock. So does valuing your work.
@EmmaBostian Not just rude, but completely unprofessional. I've seen lots of "ghosting" for interviews. If you don't want the job, be an adult and let me know. IMHO it highlights in our culture a general lack of respect for others.
@jayphelps Sorry!! Sorry, everyone. But we *had* to finish the Clickbait binge last night. Seriously, though…watched from 10pm to 1:30am ET with no interruption. When did this happen?
@DThompsonDev How I fixed that: pick the place and then GO THERE! No hesitation! She’ll either admire your take-charge decisiveness…or more likely value having her own say in the matter next time. There's going to be a fight anyway. Might as well get your tacos! 😆
