@mega2e@gabrieldance Long ago, home 4 d summer from college, spent most of my time with HS bud that told me he wanted 2 kill himself. Tried everything to convince him not to. 3 weeks after returning 2 school, he did it. Night b4, some1 gave info, like a website on how 2 do it. All it takes is a spark
@mega2e@gabrieldance My STORY. On train from Manchester to London, someone stepped in front of it. Remember hearing the body and gravel passing underneath. No one on train showed concern. Nothing on the news that night r in the papers the next day. Media had decency to not report to prevent copycats.
@ErikMCarson@mega2e@gabrieldance Nor does talking about it prevents it. Can show you a tombstone to prove it. I suggested not sparking a pathway for someone who’s suicidal to follow.
@ErikMCarson@mega2e@gabrieldance Illogical question. Answering yes or no goes down the rabbit hole. I’ll rather the site be shut down ASAP with no publicity until after it’s done. Your shotgun approach that passes the buck doesn’t work so well on resolving. Who’s these people that’s gonna do what? Site stills up
@JohnSmi86159035@mega2e@gabrieldance Oh, I did read all of it. Consulting experts on how to write the article? CYA And these experts suggested printing the actual website?
@JamGloom@debm133@mega2e@gabrieldance Reason we changed trains at next station. As an engineer like your grandfather, I’ve done whatever was needed to be done to resolve issue, regardless of position. Attitude is Everything.
@debm133@mega2e@gabrieldance Yea, we did the same. Took longer. Remember conductor announcing ‘We’ve stopped due to a fatality’ at least that long after stopping. Nobody flinched.
@RileyJane606 @mega2e@gabrieldance Understandable. We’ve all experienced it, wondering why (no logic 🤔), what we’ve could have done to have prevented it, and how to prevent future events. Hoping article’s awareness saves life’s, not realizing the flip side, and praying for the best outcome misses my point.
