Let’s Correct This Mindset In This Bull run.

Degen plays are fun and can be rewarding, but I think the culture around it is beginning to corrupt the hearts of many traders in the African crypto space. I enjoy the rush, the excitement, and the quick pumps like anyone else, but I still believe in long-term plays and consistent holdings. They may seem slow, but they are stable, and that’s why I’ve chosen not to rush the coins I’m personally developing with conviction.

Gone are the days when people did their research, bought into projects they believed in, and held them for years because of faith in the builders’ vision. Many new traders now want to compete in degen plays with people who have $100k or more sitting in their wallets. That’s a losing game, because, you can’t outpace a man who has volume.

Each time someone messages me asking, “What happened to this coin?” or “Why did that coin dump?”, I pause and ask myself, did I ask you to buy? You made a financial decision based on your conviction, so why are you looking for someone to blame when it retraces? You just bought a coin two days ago and already expect a 200x, that’s not just unrealistic, it’s an unhealthy expectation.

Remember, the caller is not the community. I can call a coin, but if the community is bearish, the coin will reflect that sentiment. Likewise, when the community is bullish, momentum follows. Some coins should never be sold simply because another one is pumping. In fact, wise investors often buy more when others sell, because they believe in long-term value.

We need to correct this obsession with quick profits. Degen plays have their place, but you don’t have to join every single one. Sometimes, the smartest move is to sit on the sidelines and observe.

Long-term holding is still the most proven strategy.
I have my strong long-term holds, and you should too.
