A safe welcoming place where children who have been sexually or physically abused can begin their journey of healing. We serve more than 2,000 children a year.
We stand with this important effort to reduce child poverty in NYS. The inextricable link between poverty and child abuse means that poverty eradication = child abuse prevention.

In fact kids are at higher risk of abuse, but not neglect. That is certainly what we are seeing at @BivonaCAC. In fact we have seen a 17% increase in sexual and physical abuse reports since this time last year. Important to remember the vast majority of reports are for neglect.
Norma says: "I'm thrilled to join the Bivona Board of Directors. I was first introduced to Bivona as a TV reporter and I knew back then that this was a special place...Our children deserve it."
We are thrilled to announce that @Holland2Norma has joined our board of directors! We love and respect this mother, communicator, advocate and community member and know that we will do great things together. Welcome, Norma!

Proud that #ChildVictimsAct has finally passed the Senate. I am proud to co-sponsor this bill and of the work of advocates like @BivonaCAC. Thanks also to my colleague @bradhoylman for his hard work and dedication on this issue. Today is about justice at long last for survivors
"Child abuse survivors may not begin to grapple with trauma - much less report it to authorities - until years later. The passage of time makes abusers no less responsible for their actions & the pain their victims endured." - @ManhattanDA on the #ChildVictimsAct#NYCVAToday
Thanks to @NYSCADV for this great photo from this AM’s press conference to celebrate the @NYSenate & @NYSA_Majority voting today to pass the #ChildVictimsAct into law. Honored to stand w/the best advocates & lawmakers in the world.
#BREAKING: The New York State Senate just passed the #ChildVictimsAct.
Survivors of child sexual abuse, what happened to you was real and you deserve justice. The State of New York and the force of its law is behind you, and you will not be turned away.
After 13 years languishing in the NY Assembly, the Child Victims Act has passed the NY Assembly and NY Senate today, marking a landmark victory for child sexual abuse survivors. #NYCVAToday@NYGovCuomo https://t.co/5LJIIlzccO
We’re encouraged by @NYGovCuomo’s announcement that the Child Victims Act is part of his #2019JusticeAgenda and he vows to enact it in the first 100 days of the legislative session. Here’s why:
