The essential detail here is that the Directive and local law is here to stay. It is a milestone. You’re right about a NIS3 at some point. Like any other legislation is evolving over time.
This blog post aims to explain why NIS2 and less what is NIS2. I think the history and background is very relevant when decision makers in both private and public organisations now must be compliant.
