@MJRodnick @FirstTake Honestly PATS haven't really developed any WRs quickly in like the past 20 yrs (Edelman took time) b4 that it was Branch, right? Then there are PATS fans that want Brown AND Diggs, pushing Boutte and Williams down. Tough to develop when buried on DC.

@hoodieDubzyy Amazes me folks use the last 3 games as a refence for Maye when he was at the top of the league in passing yards with no WR1 and he was also playing his first full season with new HC/OC. He didnt play well against top 5 Ds, and other team QBs played worse against our "crap" D

@Savageboston Not for OTAs, but mandatory mini camp should show up. Hes under contract for 2 more years, there is not a rush to get a contract done at this point. Long gap between mini camp and Training campnin July to get something worked out. His value will only increase longer they wait

@MJRodnick He was also present at Maye's charity softball event so hes not disgruntled and making himself scarce like Boutte is. Next week should be more telling on what is happening with Boutte, assuming he isnt traded between now and then.

@MJRodnick I bet he shows up. Its a good faith thing if he wants a new contract. I get its contract time and OTAs are voluntary, not wanting to risk injury, but hes under contract for 2 more years since they picked up his 5th option, not a lot of leverage there.

@mikemagz07 People quickly forget the Rams just used a 1st rd pick on a QB that isnt playing for years and paying that salary for a backup. PATS get 2 years of Brown before their 1st comes due and Browns salary for those 2 years will be less than what that 1st will cost. Known vs unknown

@Savageboston With Hollins/Raridon you get similar size blocking ability running 3WR or 2 TE sets. So you can run or pass the ball out of either which keeps teams off balance. Gilliam will be huge piece of the offense..watching Westover last year, he was getting tossed around and seemed lost

@Savageboston Boutte has trade value, you just dont cut him outright. Likely packaged in a trade. Pop doesn't have trade value, but would be signed if released. Plus Chism could be the guy that plays that role which hasn't been highly involved.

@Savageboston PATS also have mandatory Mini Camp like a week or 2 later that you they will want him at. So there is your window for this trade to happen.

@Savageboston People have to remember nothing has been mandatory for veterans so far. Not knowing his future, have to believe he is doing this with understanding from coaching staff. Also, players prefer sticking to own routine. As long he is putting in the work amd shows up when mandatory

@Brycen2047 Looks like it's gonna be another Bills vs PATS in addition to the AFC East. If Bills win the division this will be the last we hear of rest day/SOS talk cause Bills benefit in both as tye numbers say today.

@TitleTalkTCL PATS should be getting Brown too and they have already proven they can win on the road which is much tougher than their home games this year. Teams are tougher for the most part logistically the schedule isnt brutal. 3 mini-byes, actual bye and decent west coast travel timing

@ThatPatsStan The short weeks suck, but it means they are getting 3 mini-byes in addition to their actual bye week. The Wednesday game isnt that bad since its coming off the pre-season then get a 11 day break especially traveling from Seattle.

@NestPgs That's a tough stretch for teams they are playing,but they get off-season to prepare for SEA, then 11 days to prepare for PIT and then 1st "true" NFL week prep for Jags. Teams are tough but logistics make it manageable. Also higher chance team is healthy being early season

@Savageboston I saw Steelers week 2, that is a solid 3 week stretch of playoff teams and defending SB champ. Great to get those out of the way and when the team should be healthy.
