@BCDIndy777@Breaking911 The first number is the percent of lean meat; the second number is the percent of fat. 90/10, 85/15, 80/20 are three different ratios and will three different prices with 90/10 being the most expensive. The 5# chubs of hamburger sold at discount stores could even be 70/30=yuck.
@traffas From a ranchers viewpoint, we look at the drought monitor map pretty much weekly, so I didn't even notice the river. It's strange what rivers are chosen to be on those maps.

@traffas Have a friend, an electrical engineer working in Great Bend, who has talked about all of the difficulties meshing wind energy with more traditional electricity to maintain a steady flow. I totally recognize he is biased, but the conversation made sense.
@traffas Will have to research for an article from several years ago about one of the minerals used in the turbines and how mining for it in China was ruining the soil and poisoning those who mined it. Sorry, but can't recall what it was.
@traffas Open it up across state lines. Let the free market figure it out. I have faith it would stabilize and provide decent coverage for all. And a safety net is provided for those who need it.
@traffas Absolutely! Years ago, we were allowed to choose our own health insurance and I could get a GOOD policy for less than what I could through the school. BUT, they needed more people in their pool so "their " rates could go down, and I didn't have a choice. My rates went up. Ugh.
