OK so far in the current Olympics Great Britain has 12 gold medals and Australia has 18 gold medals. Great Britain has a population of 67 M and Australia has 26 M. By population ratio of of 2.56 over Great Britain over Australia they should be achieving 46 gold medals. Oops. Great Britain - try harder.

I am a fan of Elon Musk, but I disagree with him on this issue, yes the privileged amongst us are reluctant to make babies, due to to commitments and inconveniences involved. The population will decline. But those of less social economical status will continue to make babies like rabbits, I don't see a problem for humanity sustaining a population going forward.

My home's smartlock automatically unlocks the front door when it senses the proximity of my smartphone coming from outside. If I forget my smartphone, a fob on the keyring will open it. With no phone or fob, I can still open it with its keypad. There is no conventional key / lock slot, so I don't know how an intruder with locksmith skills could break in.

True, most country’s birth rates are too low to sustain their populations. In nice countries like my Australia and your USA, its not a problem as we attract quality immigrants. But in former great powers like Russia and China, where nobody wants to emigrate to, they are facing a slow demise, when there are fewer and fewer people in the workforce to support their aging population.

@WallStreetSilv I got my Spotify to create a Taylor Swift playlist to work out what all the fuss was. I found it underwhelming. She is definitely physically very attractive, but that doesn't translate in to music that people will care about in 50 years time.
