@IndianaFever@StVincentIN Having zero players on the roster capable of playing defense without fouling is a bold strategy. Zero interior defense or ability to switch.
@warminster10027@Smoore1117 Probably cause he’s a 6’5” corner infield 1st round pick who can’t run and is a way below average defender with a career OPS well below Luis Arreaz. But if we need someone to pound balls into the ground he’s our guy.
@MattGelb Until recently I’d agree with that move. Sosa is not hitting right now and you’ve told us how much Marsh has earned these type of ABs. Marsh way less likely to hit into a DP and his defense is lights years better in the OF.
@MattGelb Professional nibbler. Tops out at 93. Can’t attack hitters cause he has little swing and miss. His hanging breaking balls kill him and he can’t throw the ball by anyone.
@MattGelb Cracks me up you tweet, tell us what we know, people respond endlessly, and you never respond to anyone. Walker starting games is beyond absurd. Until fans stop showing up nobody will give a rats behind. Business is good.
@MattGelb Walker is not good. But it’s convenient to blame him without questioning the hitting. It’s been pretty bad and they’ve faced maybe 1-2 SP better than league average so far.
@MattGelb At some point can any of you guys question their approach at the plate, organizationally? Cause it’s literally the same thing over and over. Taking pitches, especially early strikes, is ALL we do consistently.
