Looking at some robots back in the day. This was the Omnibot 2000 and it ran for $600.00 back then. I had not learned about these until now. It was able to carry light objects and could have various commands. Do you know anyone who had one of these?

Growing up I don't think I remember anyone's room looking all bright and colorful. Every home I visited tended to look like the bottom picture. Maybe really rich kids had the cool stuff?

This was the way to start Friday night off right. It was a good way to just unwind after a long week of school. Most kids had the whole weekend to just relax and have fun. We watched our cartoons, then once the informercials started we went out to play

Birthday cakes as a kid were always interesting. Especially if there were no templates to make certain characters etc. These days you can google to find out ideas to make a great cake but back then you had to hope someone in town had a picture.
