While on their way home from a 14 day deployment in California, the crew from Black Forest Wildland 7 came upon and extinguished a car fire on I-70. Our crews are always ready for anything.
This morning, members of the Black Forest Wildland Team left for a 14 day assignment to California. Our guys will be on an initial attack/preposition assignment, supplementing wildland assets from California.

Black Forest Fire Rescue is prepared for today's Extreme Fire Weather. We are staffing 2 extra wildland engines that will be on patrol throughout the district. Please be extremely careful when outdoors. If you see a fire, DO NOT try to call the firehouse. Call 911 immediately.
On Thursday Evening, March 3rd. Black Forest Fire Rescue, Colorado Springs Fire Department, and Falcon Fire Department, worked jointly to extinguish six small grass fires along Black Forest Rd. If you have any info on the fires, contact our Fire Marshal’s Office at 719-495-4300
