Iran is not an Arab nation, yet it was the only country to stand up for Palestine and Lebanon. Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, and Bahrain are all Arab, but they chose to back Israel. The moral courage of Iranians is truly unmatched!
On #WorldBloodDonorDay, we recognise the invaluable contribution of voluntary blood donors, whose generosity helps save lives. Their selfless act ensures that those suffering from lifelong conditions or patients requiring emergency care receive the support they need when it matters most.
Blood remains an irreplaceable resource, despite the remarkable advancement in medicine and technology. Therefore, voluntary blood donation is essential in safeguarding public health, effective healthcare delivery and national emergency preparedness.
For a geographically dispersed island nation such as the Maldives, timely access to blood can make a critical difference during medical emergencies. This Administration remains committed to create awareness and promoting voluntary blood donation and strengthening a culture of solidarity and shared responsibility in protecting health and well-being of everyone.
