It still amazes me that people are fans of Jax. Like I get just simply liking him as a character for his iconic silly moments, but liking him enough to relate to him, idolize him, or outright saying you love him (a la fangirls) without being able to admit he's a terrible person...that's just a huge red flag.

It's no different with the "Funny Bunny" ship. Shipping him with any far more vulnerable character (unless it's hypothetically with Ribbit back when he was good) is also a bad look when it comes to romantic ability. I'll accept this if it's a scenario where he has completely reformed, but unfortunately we won't ever get that now. I guess we can imagine he's in a sort of digital afterlife with Ribbit and Kaufmo and they are free of any pain and imperfections, so they're friends again. That makes it feel better for me.

Jax should serve as a cautionary tale of how to not treat a woman who makes this deep of a connection and brings out the best in you. Although there's no chance I'd ever do it, I've had anxiety over the fear of breaking a girl's heart and treating her the way he treated Ribbit. Maybe that's why I take people's admiration of Jax so personally...
