If I got laid off tomorrow & had to replace my salary asap, here’s exactly what I’d do:
1. Go to Instagram and start a fresh account. Use a spare email. No one has to know.
BJP has announced below freebies in Bengal elections:

@ShefVaidya I was the manager of a flagship store in Pune. At Lenskart, third-party audits are conducted to check grooming standards. In October 2024, my store lost points specifically because we were wearing *kalwas* (sacred threads); the audit was conducted by a person named Ayush Verma.
A humble note to the young generations of India,
Please take a moment to reflect. This isn’t just about our generation anymore. Our fate is largely sealed. This is about our children, nieces, nephews, and their kids generations.
A few months ago, our nation was caught up in anger, ready to escalate tensions with a neighboring country while overlooking our own internal security challenges and foreign policy failures. Now, we’re enjoying cricket matches with the same nation. There’s nothing wrong with celebrating India-Pakistan cricket rivalry. Many of us grew up cherishing those moments where we came together as a nation and celebrated our victories.
I don't blame us either. We were all angry because of what had happened in Pahalgam. And, our mainstream media who has sold its soul for money milked the entire situation and created the whole panic. And, when we got external pressures to calm things down, the whole narrative changed WITHIN A DAY.
Please never forget - How our beloved government and media politicized entire situation while keeping the common people in dark on such a big security lapse or How India stood alone on the global stage, receiving no support from other nations despite being the country that suffered from that tragic incident
If you still trust our leadership then you may not got out of propaganda bubble, and you may not yet see the broader challenges we face. Since 2014, significant issues have emerged that deserve scrutiny. I don’t blame anyone for being unaware. After all there’s a well-funded (in billions of dollars) effort to keep us distracted with misinformation while critical issues are sidelined.
Please try to understand how money works. You will quickly realize that our government is working for India's rich class at the expense of the middle and lower classes. Wealthiest people in our country spending billions of dollars in political donations, PR campaigns while owning the major mainstream media to control the information you consume to keep us ignorant and they get their investment in returns through their corporate profits and government deals.
They are real winner in this system and by definition we are on the losing side. As per a report, since 2014 - middle and poor class has lost more than 5% in the wealth share to rich class. There is a reason why rich is getting richer in our country. The sooner we realize as a nation, the better it is.
Many may not know that a court recently ordered the removal of videos and reports about one of India’s wealthiest individuals, limiting public access to important information. Thankfully, our country still got brave journalists and they are still fighting, securing a stay on that order to protect our constitutional rights.
Our mainstream Media has completely fallen and slowly both Bureaucracy and Judiciary is also weakening. This is not something new. This is the same script that has been seen in other nations where democratic institutions erode gradually. It starts with one constitutional right at a time then all at once. It's time to pay attention on REAL issues.
There is a reason why our country's internal debt has quadrupled since 2014 yet not a single long term economic problem was solved
There is a reason why our cities come to complete halt in one heavy rain. Our bridges are collapsing and roads are full of potholes within few months they are built
There is a reason why our government keeps scamming people in the nation service and funneling money from middle/poor class to rich class systemically.
There is a reason why India is 2nd nation in the world where people are surrendering their citizenship.
There is a reason why we are no where close to a developed country economy while paying so much in taxes.
There is a reason why we have high unemployment in our country.
There is a reason why our society is so radicalized that people with different opinions can't have respectful discussions without bringing Hindu-Muslim in the conversation.
There is a reason why things looks unaffordable even after working so hard.
There is reason why no one holds our current government accountable while they are slowly taking our country to bankruptcy and radicalizing our unemployed youth.
Please remember - in a developed country economy wealth gap between its people should be decreasing.
If you don't believe in above issues thats okay too. As I already said, real money is being spent to keep us ignorant about these issues. And rich people don't waste their money if it was not working.
And if you believe in the above issues but wonder why this is happening. The reason is simple. We have a dumb, incompetent, highly insensitive, dishonest, hate mongering person as our leader who is clueless about our social and economical problems. Our government is serving to India's wealthiest people. Think about this way - we have our beloved leader for more than 10 years now who is apparently an incarnation of God as per himself and yet our middle and lower class feeling like a loser in this game. See, you have to understand that system has not failed us. It is working as designed. It is just not working for us.
Soon 2000's generation will be going through job hunt in this deep recessionary environment. When they will not land on jobs even after studying hard in their teen age, how will you feel? How will you feel as a parent who have been paying ridiculous amount of your hard earned money in their schooling?
Will you be content and happy knowing that you have saved your religion? Will you also suggest them just like our beloved leader suggested the youth in 2018 that selling pakoras is also a form of employment. Given current world geopolitics - not everyone will have a chance to settle in another country just to get basic things in life which all of us as a decent tax payer citizens should be getting by default.
Our beloved leader's fate is sealed too. The truth will eventually surface, as it always does. Thats the funny thing about the TRUTH. The thing is Economy doesnt work on "Modiji ne kiya hain to kuch soch samjh ke hi kiya hoga" principle. History may not look kindly on a leader who failed to address our core challenges while deepening divisions and economic woes.
There is a reason why our beloved leader can't do any press conferences and why he keeps doing one sided conversations (aka Man Ki Baat) for more than 10 years. When the inevitable economic crisis hits our nation - our future generations will ask tough questions about what we did during this time. And, as a dad I can tell - it wont feel good to admit that we were swayed by filter news from mainstream media and social platform like Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram.
So, please, stay informed. Seek out diverse sources of information. Platforms like X can offer real-time perspectives from people on the ground, but always verify what you read. Look beyond mainstream narratives and trust your own eyes and ears.
And if you are like me who doesn't have iota of faith in our current leadership and have concerns where our country's ship is heading. Please know, we are not choosing the captain of this ship. It is our parent generation. They prioritized solving their religious problems first over economical problems. But it is us and our children generations that will face the consequences of their poor priorities.
I don't think other parties are the solution too. They have been in parliament and still failing to make people aware about real issues because they themselves are incompetent too. All we need is 300-400 good and honest young people who can understand the pain of current generations and are smart enough to solve these hard problems in Parliament. This is a conversation for another day.
For now we have to focus on our current major problem. And that is - we have a government who is not representing us anymore and have been failing in their economic, social and foreign policies even since they came into power. And most importantly they are after our constitutional rights. Our grand parent generation gave us constitution because they were smart enough to know the flaws of democracy.
Dr B.R Ambedkar once said "Bhakti in religion may be a road to the salvation of the soul. But in politics, Bhakti or hero-worship is a sure road to degradation and to eventual dictatorship", We were dangerously close to losing our constitutional rights in 2024 but we woke up at the right time and didn't give full majority to our beloved leader. Just imagine what would have happened if we had given them 400 seats and power to change the constitution.
18 months ago, I posted below tweet. I still believe India needs another revolution and it has to be done by our generations because it's about our kids. It doesn't have to an old style revolution. It can be a digital revolution too. All we have to do is make people aware of truth. If you have family, friends and colleagues who are still not aware about our current problems, please bring them on X. Share the news with them which matters.
Avoid getting in discussions on religion. Stay on social, economic and constitutional issues. Repost the content which you think should be read by more people. Never underestimate the power of exponential reach. Once we have more people talking about these issues, algorithms will automatically take care. Good thing is that our generation out numbers our parents generation and we are more tech savvy than them.
Always remember - "Greatest threat to a civilization isn't evil people doing evil things but ordinary people who have simply stopped thinking"
Day 48 of asking PM @NarendraModi Sir to cut the freebies budget and increase the research and development budget
Sir, today this movement enters its forty eighth day with greater resolve and sharper clarity. With every passing day, more citizens are joining this appeal because the issue before us is not temporary welfare but India’s permanent strength.
Sir, the facts remain undeniable. India still spends less than 1% of its GDP on research and development, while leading nations invest 2% to 4% or more. This gap decides who designs jet engines, who controls semiconductor supply chains, who leads artificial intelligence, space systems and advanced defence platforms.
Sir, a single example explains everything. For decades, India has spent thousands of crores on importing aircraft engines because we did not invest enough, early enough, in indigenous engine development. If even a fraction of the annual freebies budget had been redirected to long term R&D, India would today be producing its own world class jet engines instead of negotiating technology transfers with conditions attached.
Sir, the same logic applies to semiconductors, drones, cyber warfare tools and advanced materials. When money is spent on consumption, it disappears. When money is invested in research, it creates capability that lasts for generations.
Sir, dependence on imported technology weakens national security. Spare parts get delayed. Costs rise. Sanctions appear suddenly. Technology access is restricted during crises. Recent global events have shown clearly that even trusted partners prioritise their own interests first. Sir, no nation can call itself sovereign if its defence readiness depends on foreign approvals.
Sir, R&D is not an expense. It is insurance for national security. It ensures that Indian soldiers are never left waiting for critical equipment. It ensures that Indian scientists and engineers stay in India instead of migrating abroad. It converts our youth from job seekers into innovators and job creators.
Sir, freebies may win short term political comfort, but they do not win wars, they do not create technology leadership, and they do not protect future generations. Appeasement politics may look attractive in elections, but history shows that nations collapse when security and innovation are ignored.
Sir, every rupee invested in research strengthens multiple sectors. Defence R&D strengthens civil aviation, electronics, space applications, healthcare technology, energy storage and cyber security. This is how strong ecosystems are built. Not through schemes, but through sustained knowledge creation.
Sir, today this appeal is also directed to all Honourable Members of Parliament. Sir, you represent the will of the people and the future of this nation. Sir, please rise above party lines and ask a simple question. Are we preparing India for the next election cycle or for the next fifty years?
Sir, this movement urges Parliament to lead a national shift in priorities. Sir, inspire states, universities and industries to invest in innovation. Sir, send a clear message to the youth that India trusts their intelligence, their skills and their ideas.
Sir, this is not about politics. Sir, this is about India’s long term security, dignity and self reliance. Sir, speak with facts. Sir, support research. Sir, demand a future built on strength, not dependency.
Sir, this is a call for vision. Sir, a call for courage. Sir, a call to trust India’s own minds.
Sir, for India. Sir, for sovereignty. Sir, for self reliance.
Sir, we trust your leadership. Sir, we trust India.

Day 41 of asking PM @narendramodi sir to cut the freebies budget and increase the research and development budget
Sir, today this movement reaches its forty first day. With each passing day, the emotion behind this appeal grows deeper and more honest. What started as a thought has now become a shared feeling among many who care about India’s future.
Sir, this is a humble reminder from citizens who believe that our country deserves more than short term comfort. Freebies may help for a moment, but they cannot carry a nation forward. They ease today, but they do not prepare us for tomorrow. A strong nation is built when its people are skilled, confident, and capable.
Sir, our youth is full of energy and ideas. Students study late into the night with dreams in their eyes. Researchers work with limited resources but unlimited dedication. Innovators want to solve real problems for the country. They do not want shortcuts. They want support, trust, and a system that believes in their potential.
When a country invests in research, it invests in its own dignity. When it supports innovation, it creates jobs, strength, and self respect. When it ignores research, talent slowly slips away. Sir, we want India to rise by creating knowledge, not by depending on temporary relief.
This appeal is not against welfare. It is a call for balance and vision. Help the needy, but also empower the capable. Build systems where people grow strong enough to stand on their own. Research and development does exactly that. It builds industries, security, and long term prosperity.
Sir, we urge you to hear this voice. It is calm, sincere, and hopeful. And we urge every citizen, every student, every professional to be part of this conversation. Talk about it. Share it. Think about it. The future belongs to all of us.
This movement is for India.
For our youth.
For our future generations.
Sir, we believe in your leadership.
We believe in India.
Let us come together and choose knowledge, innovation, and progress.

Day 37 of asking PM Narendra Modi sir to cut the freebies budget and increase the research and development budget
Sir, today marks the thirty sixth day of this journey. What started as a small concern has now become a deep responsibility. A responsibility towards our nation, towards our future and towards the millions of young minds who dream of building something meaningful for India.
This voice is not angry. It is not against anyone. It is emotional and honest. It comes from students studying late nights, from researchers working with limited resources, from young professionals who want to contribute but feel unheard. They are not asking for shortcuts. They are asking for opportunity, respect and support.
Sir, when a country invests in research, it invests in its own strength. When innovation is ignored, talent slowly fades away. Every time a bright mind leaves the country due to lack of support, the nation loses a part of its future. This is not criticism. This is concern coming from love for the country.
We believe that real progress comes from education, science and innovation. Not from temporary reliefs, but from long term vision. Not from promises, but from policies that empower thinkers and creators.
Sir, this movement is growing because people care. Because they believe India can lead the world in technology, science and knowledge. They believe our nation deserves better and can do better.
We urge you to listen to this voice. A voice that is calm, respectful and hopeful. A voice that wants to build, not complain. A voice that wants India to rise through strength of mind and innovation.
To everyone reading this, please raise your voice with dignity. Share this message. Stand for a future built on knowledge and opportunity. Because when we invest in minds, we secure the future of the nation.
#NarendraModi
Day 36 of asking PM @narendramodi Sir to cut the freebies budget and increase the research and development budget
Sir, today marks the thirty sixth day of this movement. A movement that started with concern has now turned into a quiet determination. It is no longer just a request. It is a responsibility we feel towards our country’s future.
Sir, this voice is not angry. It is not political. It is emotional. It comes from students, researchers, young professionals and dreamers who want to see India rise through knowledge, not dependency.
Every day thousands of students sit in small rooms, studying with hope in their eyes. They are not asking for shortcuts. They are asking for opportunities. They want labs that work, institutions that support innovation, and a system that rewards hard work instead of ignoring it.
Sir, when research is neglected, talent feels unwanted. When innovation is delayed, progress slows down. And when young minds feel unheard, the nation quietly loses its strength. This is not criticism, this is concern.
We believe that a strong India is built on education, science, and research. Not on temporary reliefs, but on long term vision. Not on quick popularity, but on lasting impact.
This movement is growing because people care. Because they believe that India can lead the world in technology, science and innovation if given the right support.
Sir, we urge you to listen to this voice. A voice that is hopeful, respectful and determined. A voice that wants to build, not complain. A voice that believes in the future of India.
To everyone reading this, raise your voice with dignity. Share this message. Support the cause. Because change begins when people choose to care.
We believe in India. We believe in its potential. And we believe that the future deserves better.
#NarendraModi
I am genuinely surprised why more people in India aren’t talking about this openly.
If you want clean drinking water, you have to buy a water purifier and then pay 18% GST on it.
If you want clean air, buy an air purifier again, 18% GST.
If you want 24×7 electricity, don’t rely on the grid buy an inverter.
If you want quality education for your child, forget government schools, you have to go private, where fees run into lakhs.
Government schools are not even a serious option for most middle-class families.
If you want good healthcare, you go to a private hospital and once you step inside, your bank balance starts bleeding. Many families literally take loans to survive medical emergencies.
Now leave all this aside.
Even pure food is hard to get.
Paneer is adulterated.
Dal is artificially coloured.
Street food?
Nobody knows what’s being mixed dirty hands, sweat, sometimes worse. We just hope nothing happens.
Try walking outside:
• Footpaths barely exist.
• Vehicles come from all directions.
• People don’t follow lanes.
• Potholes everywhere.
One wrong step and:
you might get hit by a vehicle, or
you might fall and injure yourself
And who takes responsibility?
No one.
Ask questions and suddenly you’re:
• called deshdrohi
• told to “go to Pakistan”
Why should expectations from my own country be compared with Pakistan?
When India plays cricket, do we compare ourselves with Kenya or Zimbabwe?
No.
We compare ourselves with Australia, England, big teams.
Then why, as a country, shouldn’t we compare ourselves with: China, the USA, Japan, Australia other large economies?
People say “India is Vishwaguru.”
If that were true:
• why are so many millionaires leaving India?
• why are top celebrities and athletes settling abroad?
• why do people with money still choose foreign education, healthcare, and passports?
Loving your country doesn’t mean staying silent.
Asking questions is not anti-national.
Expecting clean air, safe roads, honest food, affordable healthcare, and quality education is not a crime.
Patriotism is not blind worship.
Patriotism is demanding better because we believe India deserves better.
If this made you uncomfortable, maybe it needed to be said.
Share it.
Talk about it.
Silence won’t fix anything.
Day 34 of asking PM @narendramodi Sir to cut the freebies budget and increase the research and development budget
Sir, today marks the thirty fourth day of this journey. A journey that started with concern and has now become a quiet but determined movement. This is not about slogans or pressure. This is about the future we are preparing for our nation and for the generations that will come after us.
Sir, every day we see young Indians trying their best. Students studying late into the night. Researchers struggling with limited facilities. Innovators working with passion but without proper support. They are not asking for shortcuts or favors. They are asking for a system that believes in their potential.
This movement is not against anyone. It is for India. It is for a future where talent is valued, where research is respected and where innovation becomes our identity.
When a country invests more in temporary relief than in long term progress, it slowly weakens its own foundation. True strength comes from knowledge, skill and self reliance.
Sir, the youth of this country does not want easy benefits. They want opportunity. They want to contribute. They want to build technologies, strengthen national security and make India a global leader in science and innovation. For that, they need support, vision and faith from the system.
Today, this voice is growing stronger because people are realizing that this is not about politics. This is about survival in a competitive world. This is about choosing development over dependency. This is about choosing the future over temporary comfort.
I urge everyone reading this to be part of this movement. Speak up. Share this message. Ask for better priorities. Change begins when citizens care enough to raise their voice.
Sir, we still believe in your leadership. We still believe India can rise higher. Please choose research. Choose education. Choose the future of this nation.
#Narendramodi
Day 32 of asking PM @narendramodi Sir to cut the freebies budget and increase the research and development budget
Sir, thirty two days into this movement, the feeling is steady and strong. One full month has passed. There has been no response yet, but silence will not stop this effort. We will keep trying because this is not about attention. This is about responsibility. Responsibility towards India’s future and towards the youth who are ready to give their best to the nation.
Sir, this movement is not born out of anger. It comes from concern and from belief. Belief that India can be much stronger if the right priorities are chosen. Across the country there are students, engineers, scientists and innovators who want to work for India. They want to build technology, strengthen defence, improve healthcare and create solutions for tomorrow. They are not asking for luxury. They are asking for dignity, fair pay and real support.
Sir, when skilled minds are ignored and underpaid, they do not fail. They leave. Brain drain is not fate. It is the result of repeated policy choices. When research and defence projects are treated as low priority, the cost is paid in lost talent and weakened national security.
Sir, it hurts to see unlimited funds for short term schemes while long term strength is neglected. A nation becomes powerful not by distributing comfort but by investing in knowledge, science and innovation. Research and development is not an expense. It is insurance for the future.
Sir, even after one month without a response, this movement will continue. Because the issue is real. Because the danger is real. And because the hope is real.
I urge everyone to participate. Students, ask questions. Parents, demand better futures for your children. Professionals, speak with courage. Youth, raise your voice with facts and calm strength. Change begins when pressure is built together.
Sir, we believe in India. We believe in your leadership. Please listen to this collective voice. Choose investment in research, education and innovation. That is how a strong, secure and self reliant India is built.
