We are a partnership between communities, statutory, voluntary and private organisations working to address Black mental health inequalities in Lambeth.
We’re live at today’s Community Assembly exploring the hidden mental health costs of the financial crisis for Black women.

💭 Hope. Progress. Accountability.
For too long, the mental health system has failed Black and racially minoritised people — with Black communities detained under the Mental Health Act four times more often than white people.
The Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF) marks a turning point — a structural answer to a structural problem. Together, we can build a mental health system rooted in fairness, equity, and hope.

🕊️ Today we remember Sean Rigg, who died in police custody on 21 Aug 2008 during a mental health crisis.
His death, caused by “unsuitable & unnecessary” restraint — is a stark reminder: mental health needs care, not criminalisation.

The Govt’s scaled-back #YoungFutures plans fall short of the promised national network of mental health hubs.
Young people deserve early, accessible support in their communities, not broken promises.
It’s time to #FundTheHubs.
