The Black American Voters Project (BAVP) is a civic organization that aims to increase political engagement and education among Black communities in Illinois
@TONYxTWO The fact that you even care enough to make a whole video about the #nokings protests across America shows that it's irritating you. 😂😂 Mind your business and do you.
@SchoenPhotog @bennyjohnson He's a comedian. I think it was a poorly written set. If you don't like it, change the channel. It's that easy. The Internet is already full of distasteful things in it, you don't have to waste your time viewing stuff you don't like.
@gmalkovich@AveryWarwick Probably because if you check data from the Department of States website right now, currently run by Marco Rubio, you'll see that it's false. But I guess believing in sensational accusations without any evidence is much more entertaining.
@NewsToter What's happening at the Southern Border right now is literally a domestic security issue. There's no country in the world that doesn't enforce border security. Unfortunately everything happening at the southern border has been politicized.
@NewsToter Just know that Sanctuary States will soon be pushing for local voting rights for non citizens. The only elections that non citizens can't vote in are Federal Elections. Meaning soon they'll be voting in local and statewide elections.
We are twenty-one days in to Black History Month. Can anyone tell me what Black leaders have done to elevate the Black community?
Chicago’s mayor, vice-mayor, city treasurer, half of City Council’s chairmen, governing Budget, Finance, Police/Fire, Education, Contract Oversight, Ethics and Environmental Protection are all African American.
Many department heads are African American too, including Water Management, Human Resources, Police, Fire, Law, Budget Management, Housing, Public Health, Family & Support Services, Public Safety Administration, Planning & Development, and CCPSA.
The Black community deserves more than just empty resolutions. Simply stated: The community rightly expects and deserves action from the representation they have amassed throughout government.
Many live in communities that are ignored by public and private dollars, pummeled constantly by crimes of opportunity & despair, devalued housing markets with horrific educational institutions that fail to teach the basics of reading and math, culminating with zero pathways to the brighter futures everyone believes in.
This #BlackHistoryMonth let’s talk of what is possible, what is achievable, and who is willing to make it happen - finally!
