@djp55 I see the difference is that in socialism, the government owns the means of production and control whereas in Elon’s utopia, capitalists or private citizens still own the means and assets but the wealth created is so large, it allows everyone to get a UBI.
Canada, alongside Australia, France and the United Kingdom, expresses deep regret over the postponement of Palestinian elections until September 2027. Nearly two decades have passed since the last Palestinian Legislative Council elections, leaving an entire generation without the opportunity to elect its representatives.
We call on the Palestinian Authority to reconsider this decision and to take the necessary steps to hold legislative and presidential elections, without further delay.
If you want to find efficiencies in 1 trillion of spend (war budget), then identifying $3.8 billion or less than 0.4% (Israel spend) is just another way of you showing how much you hate Israel and not trying to help the American people
When we take back power, here is what we should do:
✅ HR 1: Tax billionaires to pay for free childcare & universal healthcare. (reconciliation)
✅ HR 2: No aid to Israel, cut bloated war budget
✅ HR 3: Freedom to Vote Act w/ Truth & Accountability Commission for corruption
Today marks three years since Hamas’ horrific terror attacks that killed 1,200 Israelis. We remember those who were murdered, including eight Canadians, and again express our deepest condolences for their unimaginable loss. May their memories be a blessing
Toronto is a global city and events around the world impact us deeply. More than ever, Torontonians must remain united against rising antisemitism, confront it wherever it appears, and reaffirm our collective right to live together in peace and safety.
As mayor, I will never waiver on my commitment to the safety of Jewish Torontonians. The Jewish community should not need police presence to go to a synagogue, or a community centre or simply to live proudly Jewish in our city. We will continue to invest in keeping communities safe and strong and will take action until every Torontonian can practice their faith without fear.
We all must be dedicated to confronting antisemitism and hate in all its forms, and building a caring city where everyone belongs.
Our headlines and live coverage contain all the facts we're able to confirm as we confirm them. Unlike activists and partisans, we don't publish speculation or unverified information. Here's a Gift Link to follow along as we update our reporting:

We have added the following Editors' Note to our recent coverage of the Israeli government's reaction to the NAZA documentary: "Because of an editing error, an earlier version of this article included a statement that was intended to convey Israelis’ perception of the government’s military response to the Oct. 7 terror attack in relation to the attacks, but inadvertently suggested that Israelis’ experience as terror victims was a matter of perception. It has been removed from the article."

This is beyond absurd. The @nytimes says @RobertKennedyJr “was wrong” about Froot Loops having too many artificial ingredients compared to its Canadian version, and then goes on to explain the artificial colorings and preservatives in the U.S. vs the Canadian version.
@RobertKennedyJr is right and The NY Times is an embarrassment.
I had to check the print paper just to make sure this was a real article and indeed it is.
@WestJet this is the third time in a row at @FlyYYC I’ve attempted to get into the Westjet Elevation lounge and was not able to get in because your systems are down, too full, or too long of a lineup. Is there something you can do to fix this for me?
@NBA@nbastats please correct this assist should go to Pascal Siakam, not OG Anunoby with 1:27 left in second quarter of Raptors and Pacers game tonight
