@beennnews Completely agree, it’s so dumb. They let one speller spell and then immediately take an ad break. There has probably been more overall ad screen time than actual bee screentime.

The onstage vocabulary round has eliminated too many good spellers, and as a result Scripps has to put an ad break between every word. Bring back the preliminaries test, which was a good implementation of the vocabulary portion of the bee. @ScrippsBee #ScrippsNationalSpellingBee
