Moving to #Mastodon. And I’ve decided that I’m not going to use it for anything related to work or R&D. It will exclusively be for my creative pursuits in storytelling, photography, & music. If you want to connect there, let me know. But no work stuff. Go to LinkedIn for that.
Invites to the 3rd cohort of Centriph beta testers just went out.
I want to mention how important these beta testers are to the @YetAnalytics team. We are building for people, so we need feedback from people. And we put that feedback into action…
#ListenToBetaTesters#xAPI
My favorite type of unsolicited spammy sales email is the one that begins: “I love what you are doing.”
Then friend, I implore you: please tell me what I am doing. Because I have no idea what I am doing.
Maybe 150,000 or so of the Blue Checks could each invest their $240 into a team to build a new platform to replace Twitter. $36M would be quite the friends-and-family round.
All of the invites to the second cohort of Centriph Beta testers have gone out. If you applied to be a tester, check your email and let’s design some #xAPI Profiles.
One of the major advantages of Centriph is the on-board #xAPI Profile validation. We’re seeing the results come in from the beta test and it’s just ridiculous the difference between authoring a profile blind and authoring one with guidance and real-time validation.
So - this is the cool thing - once I've got a template of my #xAPI Profile looking the way I want it to, I can create a micro-simulation & generate synthetic data to check my work & make sure data that is output by the xAPI Profile is in the shape that I want it to be in. Fin.
Below, I've clicked into the template interface. This interface is integrated with DATASIM. (DATASIM is an Apache 2.0 project originally funded by @ADL_Initiative).

I’d like to personally say thanks to so many of the “old timers” in the #xAPI community who signed up. I’d like to think that the Centriph platform represents and is inspired by the learnings and advances this community has made over the last several years. Thank you.

If you consider yourself an LX designer or a learning engineer, or if you are a software dev or data engineer working on immersive training and distributed learning, we think that Centriph is likely to become a regular destination and a great tool in your toolbox.
