Just walked past Rick Chow and his wife in the grocery store. I’m not gonna lie, I figured they would’ve skipped town by now.
Seeing them casually grocery shopping like everything is normal definitely made me feel some type of way.
I just resigned from my job and have $126K sitting in my Fidelity 401k. I’m planning to roll it into a traditional IRA for full control — mainly looking at QQQ, NVDA, and VYM for a 10-year hold.
Fidelity’s consultant told me to leave it alone since my Sysco portfolio’s returning 18%. But my gut says I can do more with the right allocation. I’m in my 30s, comfortable with some risk, and focused on long-term wealth. Just want to make sure I’m positioning this capital the right way.
Any suggestions?
@mo_ne_ak It seemed like they were fighting over a girl. They completely squared up between the aisle and started swinging. Security didn't come until Ali came back out on stage and started yelling and tapping on the microphone.
@mo_ne_ak I guess they didn't trust the audience either. When I saw they were letting ppl take drinks and snacks inside, I knew it was gonna be a night. And I was seated by the guy that laughed like a hyena. Staff?!?!? He literally had to beg them to remove that lady
People see the truck. They see the boxes.
What they don’t see is the man behind it.
They don’t see the 1AM alarms, the 15-hour days, or the joints that never fully heal. They don’t see a grown man sitting in his car before a shift, staring at the steering wheel, wondering how much more he can take.
For 7 years, I carried more than just food. I carried the weight of people’s lives.
That steak dinner on a rooftop? I delivered that.
The school meal for a 3rd grader? I delivered that.
The rehab snack for someone clawing their way back to life? I delivered that.
The breakfast for an elderly man nobody visits anymore? I delivered that.
Every case was more than a case. It was a story. And I gave everything I had to make sure it got there.
But here’s the truth nobody says out loud: this job will eat you alive if you let it. The money looks good, but it comes at a cost. Your body. Your peace. Your family. Your time.
I stayed long enough to see the system change. Long enough to watch good men break. Long enough to realize I was next if I didn’t choose myself.
So I did the hardest thing: I walked away. Not because I’m weak, but because I finally realized my worth.
Seven years. Millions of pounds moved. A chapter I’ll never forget. But now it’s time to write the next one.
Day 1:
7 years in foodservice delivery. I TURNED IN MY RESIGNATION LETTER. Millions of cases thrown. AC joint separation, and more war stories than I can count.
Now I’m walking away.
I’ve got some coins, and I want to learn to invest, build wealth, and pivot into my next chapter
Making $95k?
You’re in the 24% tax bracket.
Contribute $10k to your 401(k), and you drop into the 22% bracket.
That one move saves you $2,200+ in taxes and grows your retirement fund.
Tax planning = wealth building.
