Build pragatiLM : a research notebook that answers only from your own sources, with a citation on every claim that opens the exact page or timestamp of video.

Advanced RAG pipeline:

→ Query translation : one question becomes several: a standalone rewrite, a broader step-back question, its sub-questions, and a HyDE passage. Your original wording is always kept alongside them, so a bad rewrite can't discard it.

→ Routing : vector search for meaning, keyword for exact strings and error codes, read-only SQL for questions about the collection itself.

→ Fusion + rerank : reciprocal rank fusion (k=60) across every ranked list, then a Cohere cross-encoder scores survivors against your original question and keeps the top 8.

→ Corrective loop : before a word is generated, the retrieved set is graded out of 10 on whether it can answer at all, and asked what's missing. Those gaps become the next search. Up to 3 rounds, and the best round reaches the model, not the last.

→ Grounded output : numbered markers mapped back to real chunks server-side. A marker pointing at a block that was never supplied is stripped, not shown. Below the grade floor it refuses instead of guessing.
